The composition of this photograph is successful as the model is central to the image and therefore the focal point of the photograph. The use of black and white adds to the image by emphasising the details within the photograph such as the shadows of the model's hair and the damage of the wall.
This photograph is successful as the clothing becomes the main focus of the photograph due to the cropping and angle of the composition. The sun created subtle but detailed shadows on the model's face, inviting the viewer to focus on the small details within the photograph. The background is also effective as although there are different aspects of it and it is decrepit, the muted neutral tones allow this not to become a distraction from the model.
The sunlight is effective in this photograph as it highlights the model's face to draw out the key details, it also emphasises the colours of the model's jacket. However the positioning of this photograph is not very effective as the model is stood very rigidly and his jacket looks to have fallen quite sporadically.
The sporadic nature of the sunlight in this photograph is interesting as it draws the viewer's attention into the photograph as a whole, not just one single aspect. The sun is quite harsh in the areas it is in, causing some parts of the photograph to become overexposed, taking away from some of the details.
This photograph is effective as the shadows create by the sun and the railings create leading lines, drawing the eye to the model. However the positioning and facial expression of the model are not effective - the model's food is half cropped out which creates confusion for the viewer.

The positioning of the model in this photograph is effective as it allows the viewer to see each aspect of the model's outfit. The sunlight is also effective as it shows the details within the background and of the model. It highlights the right side of the model's face but keeps the left side shadowed, this is interesting as it creates strong contrast on the face.
The lighting within the photograph is effective as it creates a shape around the model, as though the light is coming from him. This therefore draws the viewer's attention to the model. However the line in the top centre-left creates distraction from the model.
The change is position from me taking the photograph and the model means that this photograph is more effective than the one above as the line is less visible and therefore creates less of a distraction. The sunlight gives this photograph a sense of excitement due to the way in which it surrounds the model.
This photograph is effective as the model's positioning is quite playful and therefore invites the viewer's attention. This contrasts with the structured lines in the background to creating an interesting aesthetic. However the bags in the background of the photograph create too much of a distraction.
The sun highlights the models facial features and clothing within this photograph without drawing attention to much else, this is effective as it focuses the viewer's attention solely on these two aspects of the photograph. The background helps with this as it is mainly neutral colours within too much detail to draw attention to.
The angle in which this photograph was taken from is effective as it is on a direct level with the viewer. The harsh sun light is successful in ensuring that the model is correctly exposed however the background has multiple distractions such as the metal on the wall and the end of the pavement in the bottom left.
The use of a low depth of field is successful in drawing attention to the model, this is also created by the leading lines of the brick work. The model's positioning is also effective as it allows for the viewer's to see the details of the jumpsuit. The sunlight creates shadows on the face highlighting the model's bone structure and facial features.
This photograph is successful due to the angle from which it is photographed, photographing from below allows the whole of the model's outfit to be on display. The sun effectively highlights the important aspects of the photograph, focusing attention to the clothing and face. The background is also effective as it has a variety of textures but does not create distraction from the model.
